IUSB play an active and significant role in the development of any project since the inception stage during which time we interpret the client’s requirement into a workable concept based on a set of perimeters already established by the Airport planner. As the lead consultant , IUSB has demonstrated their ability to control, coordinate and integrate inputs from all the different trades and consultants into a whole final concept of the projects we undertake. The by product was then manifested into Need Statements, Technical Specifications and Performance specification consequently forming the bidding documents upon which the project was tendered.
At the post contract phase, during the initial stage, took up the role as the lead consultant and also the supervisors and auditors on behalf of the client. The task was basically ensuring the original concept design that has been agreed by the client is adhered by the D&B consultants.
- Evaluating the contractor’s scheduling, deliverables and program timeline, amongst others inclusive of monitoring and tracking on site progress and resources deployment by the contractor.
- Auditing physical works on site and ensuring compliances of on
site QA/QC procedures by the contractor. - Design management – Ensuring compliances of the design
development by the contractor’s consultants and managing
changes and modification of the original contract requirements. - Checking and verification of construction documents and
drawings prior to issuance for construction. - Chairing progress and technical meetings and initiating forum for resolution of onsite issues with clients team, flight operators, end users and technical agencies.
VI. Preparing procurement documents (RFP’s and tenders) for the Designated Sub contract package under the Main contract,
VII. Coordinating and integration of requirements from other sub
packages within the master KLIA2 development. This include
initiating the massive interfacing with other parties for
installation of equipment and system within the terminal
contract (a total 8 packages).
VIII. Evaluating the contractor’s claim of VO’s and EOT’s and putting a recommendation for the client’s decision.
IX. Preparing of Report to the clients pertaining to:
a. Progress achievement |
b. Identification of hindrance, obstruction and risk that will affect progress onsite |
c. Critical issues that gave rise to dispute |
X. Project financial achievement and budgeting.
